Clinical Leads & Patient Champions

General practitioners (GPs) treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment. They focus on the health of the whole person combining physical, psychological and social aspects of care. Some of our GP’s have an interest in particular clinical areas and you may be referred to a specific GP in the Practice for that particular condition; they are known as the clinical lead in that area.
Champion roles have been introduced at the practice to help and facilitate patients, carers and practitioners in various areas.  Practice champions are individuals within the Practice that have specific champion roles.

They can be from any level within the Practice: they do not need to be from a clinical or management level.
